Re: bmw z3m analogue clock Not working

It may be worth trying J Morrow of West Kilbride ( 01294-829 839 ) They do clock repairs and restorations. Ok, it's 12v not 240, but I assume principles are similar. At worst they may be able to recommend someone. Also, Petcossie's right; I do remember seeing something showing you one pulled apart t...

Re: bmw z3m analogue clock Not working

I know this particular clock...

it either ceases to work or goes very slow if the car doesn't get much use. Weird, but it's what happened when I had it. A good few runs and it goes just fine AND keeps time ! Mind you, maybe it's just knackered by now  Trust everything else is still ok

Have has a CETEK for years, can safely be left on all winter. Currently ( no pun intended ) I don't use it since the charger that comes with the Carcoon indoor cover is a clever little beast; if it's brought your battery up to speed and is still connected, if there is a power cut - we've had a coupl...

Re: Dead Battery.

Am not convinced about the indicator on the battery, unless I've a duffer. The Carcoon I keep the car in winter months comes with a built-in constant trickle charger which is always on. The car starts first turn of the key but on checking the battery indicator it's either black, or possibly blank.

Half a sec guys. Remember that the pre-heater - I've got an old one but not fitted it as yet - is for the water; not the oil. It may help a bit, but I think you'd be better off withone of the stick-on pad sytems you can get for heating the sump. Can't remeber the name off-hand but it can be googled

I certainly won't sacrifice the 'lower' speed fun and handling etc for the sake of 'higher' speed stability via mods such as lowering and splitters, and it's good to have one's suspicions clarified by yourselves. that said, point about steering/suspension component generally is also one well made. a...
