Sorry, Robert. It's true. However, i don't think it'll be the last time i own a zed - just won't be anytime soon. OK - to answer a few questions already posted. Sorry, i have no idea how much they cost currently. I suppose it varies with the strength of the £ against the $, and whether you get stung...

Strong Strut For Sale
Unfortunately, it's time to say goodbye to my Zed. :bawl: I've had 4 fantastic years from her, but due to a sudden loss of a parent, i've inherited a small diesel run-around which, along with my forthcoming motor of the two-wheeled persuasion, will suit my needs better - therefore the Zed is going o...

In answer to your question above. No. However, as a word of advice. I had my screen 'repaired' and regretted it for several months after everytime it rained. The wipers rubbing over the repair squeaked. And was it annoying? You bet your arse it was. Slowly, probably over a year, the screen filler ca...

Has a similar issue, but mine started as a quickly discharging battery:
http://www.zroadster.net/forum/viewtopi ... highlight=
It was the cables in the loom which were causing a huge current drain, and then the central locking packed up.

Re: Urgent help needed. Hazard Fuse keeps blowing
...What could it be? ...How long have you got? Electrical problems are invariably difficult to locate - unless you have smoke rising from a loom! I don't remember any similar posts You'd have to start with the wiring diagram and then try and isolate the circuit. I'd be starting by finding the relay...

UPDATE and RESULT. A couple of weeks ago my central locking just stopped working. As i'd already identified this was covered by the suspect circuit, it had to be connected, however i wasn't in the position to investigate myself so into BMTEC in Manchester it went. (service was due anyway) Turns out ...

Thanks for all the replies, guys. Some increasingly strange results following continued fault finding on Friday (1st day it'd been dry all week), but still seem to be pointing the error at Fuse 31 circuit. However, to quickly answer the previous posts - i had been waiting for a good couple of minute...

Hello again Mike. I'm going to start by disconnecting the Alarm module completely and rechecking my results. Can you confirm whether it it is behind the glove box or under the steering wheel in a right hand drive car? The wiring diagram i downloaded (allegedly for a r/h drive car) says it's behind t...

Got to work this morning and re-checked my findings from yesterday evening. Again 240mA (or so) being drawn from the battery. Removed fuse 31 and it dropped to 0.0xmA levels. I've downloaded the z3 wiring diagram and identified the following circuits taking supply from that fuse, however i suspect n...

Please ignore most of what i wrote above. Gibberish, at best My battery has a 220mA drain at rest. Compared with Spunky's suggestion of 130mA ish, and Mike's suggestion (in another post) for 0.0xmA, it's a little high I re-did the multimeter and fuse check and thought i'd isolated fuse 31 as the cul...

Hi spunky. WEll, you just wouldn't believe it, but a circuit somewhere is drawing 4.5 Adc !!!! constantly. Similar thing happened to me a few months back. Car was left for 7 days, whilst on holiday, and was flat as a flat thing. My accellerator 'creaked' when i first got it. It was also very stiff and therefore difficult to balance the revs for a smooth gear change. At the Indy's, whilst it was having something else done, they lubed both ends of the accellerator cable, which helped a little, but after a month or so, it star...

Chris, It's well worth asking the 'professional' to show you around the track and gice you some pointers (that's if the organisers have an experienced driver there) Also, it's usually possible to identify the idiots at the briefing as they don't pay any attention. THey'll then go onto the track and ...
