real easy to get to if you just remove the rubber piece before the manifold, which is just two jubilee clips. This leaves loads of access.

there is two oil lights, one at the top and one at the bottom. I was under the impression that the top one was oil level and the bottom one was oil pressure, am i mistaken?

I didn't think the asc came on the M's until 99-2000. I have a 98 on s plate and it doesn't have traction control or asc, was it an option? I didn't think it was.

Yes I learn't that the hard way last time I did a suspension change! Instead of having 3 people sitting on the lower front wishbone.....just jack up the other front wheel!!.....And would you look at that the restraint drops straight off the wishbone!

Do you need to remove drive shafts to get the rear springs out as I had to do on the E36? In which case I will need a new set of drive shaft flange bolts?

I think we have a misunderstanding here. To my knowledge and reaserch all of the rear top mounts for the z3 are the same, which are the same as an E36 M3 EVO and are not side dependant and cost around £15 each. However the front top mounts are indeed very offset and cost in the region of £70

I think you have missunderstood. If you get new bilsteins then you are supplied with a new front strut on which you mount your spring. If you get the koni's then they only supply you with an insert for the front strut (the actual damper bit). Therefore there are no real modifications to the suspensi...

Has anyone fitted koni shocks? I have just noticed my shocks are gone (did wander why it felt a bit unstable on hard acceleration!) Anyway I have found koni's are cheaper that standard bilsteins! Hence I am planning on buying some tomorrow! Just wandered if anyone had any thoughts?

I have checked my engine bay and indeed I do have an alrm box hidden under the fuse box!! Its well hidden hence I never saw it before even when i cleaned my engine bay! Z3M Remote Locking?

I have a 1998 Z3M. Should I have remote locking? I believe that they came with an alarm and indeed I do have the sensors inside the front windscreen however I dont have remote locking. I can not believe that BMW made a £42k car and didnt give it remote locking!!! Maybe my fob has been lost over time...
