Having been through the odd recession before I simply cut my cloth to suit my means and look for opportunties that a recession usually brings up.

At the end of the day you start with nothing so if you end up with nothing hey ho, oh and it also gets dark (the end of the day that is).

Wreston super Mare

The BMW GB car club are holding an event in weston super mare on Sunday 11th July. You can just turn up on the day to 'show' the car off.

The cars I believe will be all parked on the green just behind the seafront.

Hi

I have been giving the Z a really good clean and noticed this 'part' on the exhaust back box.

It has a bolt in the centre of the 'black' part arrowed and wondered what it was for and if it does anything??

Front back and sides

He got hit up the rear but wants to have the front done as well whilst in the body shop. :roll:

I recently had to have some body work done and the also did the bonnet whilst in the work shop for an extra £200, so i would think to get the front bumper done would be the same or less :?:

cost

The overall cost was including new hood pratically total respray and replacement parts etc, i.e rear light cluster some new badges and a couple of other bibs and bobs it came to £2700 + Vat I did ask for extra work, i.e front bonnet respray, new motor in the passenger seat and the air con gas refill...

Bits to do

Hi Thanks for the comments. 1. Hood and rear window fit fine. 2. Tailpipes are chrome and are now shiney :) 3. Rear quarter guards going on today. 4. motor faulty

I just had the same recentley.

It was a burnt out motor. About £70 odd to replace.

Evidently they are not that robust, but cheaper than other motors on other cars to replace.

Car went in today

Took the car in todat for the work to commence. It will take a couple of weeks. I did have an engineer look at the car at the request of the insurance company. Thankfully they agreed that all the work initially quoted for needs doing, including a new hood (bmw original). I did ask about the propbelm...

umm, strange

May have a clue as to the culprit. My partners 15 yr old boy has had a phone call tonight saying along the lines, I'm your worst nightmare, and by the way how'a your mums beemer! So we may have a lead as the phone number may be able to be traced, but it was on a mobile and number witheld. Don't know...

Maxtor ok

I have used two Maxtor external hard drives and have not has a problem with either, one is about 5 years ols the other about two years old. The Onetouch software is ok but not essential as you can just plug and play (i.e view the hard drive) and back up to the new hardware using windows back up. Alex
