Re: White Z3M Roadster
There were a total of 4 White Z3MR's made in RHD. Only one was an individual build and that is Boomer. The others are slightly younger and stock factory builds. Boomer featured in an article in BMW Car Magazine about 3 years ago. I still have the article and can scan it in if anyone is interested.

Thanks namatjira; you'll be very welcome. It would be great to see Boomer in the metal. Will you be taking the zed down the strip? I think you'd generate plenty of interest  Yes, provided of course that Thorney have given it a clean bill of health. Sorted a number of intermittent problems but...

White Z3M you spotted.
It wasn't mine unfortunately at that's still in at Thorney Motorsport.
However they are rare. Only 4 White Z3M's in RHD were ever made according to Spartansburg and mine 'Boomer' is the only White Z3M Roadster Individual ever made. Still the other 3 White ones are very rare and very cool.
Cheers

The supercharger is a ProCharger C2 SC and is running about 4 psi boost. It could go to about 7 psi boost without a bottom end rebuild but first the cooling would need improving and possibly the installation of a charge cooler. 7psi should give a 3.2M about 450-480 bhp. A bottom end rebuild, lowerin...

You could also try to lighten your unsprung weight by fitting some light weight wheels. You can save up to 4 or 5 kg per corner. The general rule of thumb about unsprung weight is that it is worth about 6 x its weight in performance benefits so a saving of 4 kg / corner adds up to about 80 kg equiva...

Hi, The losses are not just transmission but also diff, wheel bearing assembly etc. Basically everything mechanical and anything that changes the direction of rotation will 'drag' the HP down. BMW normally assume on their own //M drive trains a loss of 17% from flywheel to diff. at peak HP revs. but...

Disagree with you there on drive train losses Mike. All the stats I have got from both BMW and from BMW Race Tuners indicate a normal loss from flywheel to rear wheel of about 17%.
