Re: Silver Z3 in Knaresborough
I think its a member called moontop, he hasn't been active on the site for the last three years, well he hasn't posted for the last three years anyway.
He really keeps the car looking well, I spotted it some way off, it really stood out.

Re: Silver Z3 in Knaresborough
It would have been great to have seen your Estoril M. Unfortunately I was in a hire car for the two days.
First time to Yorkshire, absolutely loved it, people and scenery were fantastic.

Re: SACH (OEM) springs/shocks on Europarts
Thanks for all the replies guys, much appreciated. So just to summarise, I can replace my rear shocks and top mounts with standard shocks/mounts, the ride height wont be affected as it is determined by the springs? :dunce: It will definately be a comfier ride as the rear of the car doesnt bounce (or...

Re: SACH (OEM) springs/shocks on Europarts
Hi Tom, thanks for the heads up on that EBay store. I've looked at Real Oem for the part number to cross reference with the oem equivalent numbers on the ebay site but cant find a match for my 2.2 sport (33526753263). Do you know if this is important or would shocks for a 2.2 with standard suspensio...

Re: Wheel refurb to cure slow puncture?
Same thing happened to my style 78's. They couldnt find a conventional puncture so I was advised by the tyre place that the rim must have corroded to the extent that there was a leak. I kept a small compressor in the car and lived with it for a while. Recently I had all four wheels refurbed and ther...

Re: What did you buy your Z3 this week ?
I've had the front bumper, Indicator panels, sills, leading edge of bonnet and mirrors resprayed. All done by a friend of the family to a very high standard. Really chuffed with the work he's done. To save money, i used the excellent guides on here about the removal of the mirrors and John Wilson's ...

Re: wanted mud flaps
Cheers Tim, I'd forgotten about Roadster Solutions. I've got a reply back from another USA supplier, they were looking over $90 to supply and ship here to sunny Northern Ireland. Not sure if that included import duty and VAT. Think i will just keep my eyes peeled for a used set. Im currently having ...

Re: wanted mud flaps
I went to my local dealer to enquire about a pair of front mudflaps. He looked at stock held by all UK dealers and advised of only two listing them as in stock, one in Hull and another in London. I rang them today and both had recently sold the last ones. Hope you managed to get some woozle, the sea...

interesting thread this. Point to note - winter tyres are not specific to snow and ice, they are claimed to be better in any weather conditions with an ambient temp of less than plus 7 celsius. There are snow specific tyres but these are prob overkill for the UK. A set of higher profile narrower win...

I was quoted 350 quid for an Insp 2 plus a brake fluid change on my 2.2 by a main dealer here in NI. Another member on here pointed me in the direction of an ex BMW technician now working as an Indy in Ballyclare - 140 quid all in. The car has not missed a beat and I have just over two hundred pound...

Green leather seats on Z3?
I was trawling through the Pistonheads classified section on AC Schnitzer BMW's when i came across this. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1949740.htm Lovely looking car, but what caught my eye were the green leather seats and door card inserts. I've never noticed Z3's with this before. Was it an opt...
