Z3 Car Alarm Fault
Have a 2002 Z3 and have an issue with the alarm going off intermittently after car is locked. Alarm will sound for about 30 secs and then re-set. Had similar issue 3 years ago and took it into a Main Dealer and took two days of fault finding. Issue was finally traced back to tilt alarm.... Looks lik...

Dsc
I've been pondering this for a few days now guys and would like some help! :? I was driving on some fairly icy roads the other day, early morning, and felt the car a bit skiddy and lose grip in places even though I was driving at a conservative speed. I thought I would try the DSC for the first time...

Shell Z3 Model Promo
I went to fill up this afternoon at my local Shell garage and noticed they have a promotion on at the moment of little models of 007's cars. There's a Z3 in Atlanta Blue. Of course, I had to have one! Only £2.49 and quite nicely made for the price... Just thought I'd mention it as I hadn't seen them...

Hello folks! I'm not sure what these photos will come out like but here goes! I have been trying to reduce them in size in Photoshop as my camera takes them as big as bed sheets, so I hope these won't come out the size of postage stamps now, as I'm not that familiar with altering file sizes. I'm goi...

I took a few photos of the cars as they arrived at the pub and a few in the restaurant. They're not that great but I'm happy to post them if no one has any objection, for the benefit of those who weren't able to make it..

Hi Phil M and I have decided that we would prefer to go direct to Deddington instead of meeting on route at Brailes. That way there's no hanging around with the possibility of missing everyone. If it's not raining I'd also like to take some photos of the cars as they arrive. Is the ETA still about 2...

Insurance
I was just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for the best value insurance for my Z3 at the moment. Not necessarily the cheapest but what people would consider a good deal for enthusiasts such as myself. It's my first year as a BMWCC and Z Register member so understand I am en...

Tilt sensor
Whilst on the subject of the tilt sensor, what I've always wanted to know is how is it triggered? At what angle do the front wheels have to be off the ground before the thing is activated. Anyone know? It's not the same as the general alarm is it that just goes off if I try to open the car with my k...

I clean my back window regularly with a product called Hindsight, a 2 part system sold by Race Glaze/More than Polish. In their words: " Step One enters the plastic, restoring suppleness and preventing cracks and splits, Step Two finely polishes out surface scratches. " I've got great resu...

Hi Phil Can I ask what the route is that you have in mind (rough route will do) as I live I'm in the Cotswolds anyway -80 miles is a bit far for me but I would love to join in somewhere along the way if this would be ok? Besides, I think it's only fair I have a head start with 4M's, a Z4 and a z1 in...

Great idea
Great idea for the shows next year. Thanks garyw for letting us newbies know where to get them. I'm copying ribs and having a white one in my windscreen. The black looks good on the back but I don't trust myself not to damage it due to washing.

Soft top/hard top
In answer to earlier question (sorry, been away for a couple of days), I was thinking of getting a hard top mainly because I just thought it would keep the soft top in better condition for longer as it would give it rest for a few months from all this rain we've been having. I also don't have anywhe...

Nice video!
I was track-side for about an hour on Sunday afternoon and had a great time watching the various cars on the track but was disappointed not to have seen any Zed's during that time so it was great to see your video just now guys!! Only wish I'd got my timing right to have seen you race on the day.

Just thought I'd mention, I was talking to my local BMW specialist the other day. He said BMW are making the hood fitting kit very difficult to get hold of now on its own. This is apparently because there has been an increase in people stealing hard tops so BMW want to try and slow down the secondha...

Fab shots
A real treat to see such gorgeous Zed shots and a credit to the owners/photographers, and Rob for organising it. The cars all look utterly fantastic. I am feeling rather insecure now about my stonechips near my front grille and fear I will have to have a bonnet respray should I want to park with you...

Hi Greg!
Hi Greg I have slipped 2 discs in my back this year and so have enormous sympathy with you, and my injury wasn't a patch on yours. I could barely walk at one point so it was mental torture for me not to be able to drive my Zed for several months when my back was really bad. I really appreciate being...

Am I the only person to love Race Glaze products? I would recommend their Aqua Bathe, Crem Perfection polish and Rimwax for the wheels. Also just discovered Armor-all glossy dash wipes - read about them on this site and they were just the look I had been searching for my dash to make it ultra-shiny....
