so it was the wiring to the coolant temp sensor, glad to have been able to point you in the right direction

had same problem with my 2.8 1997. used my peake diagnostic and got code for faulty coolant temp sensor, bought new sensor but not fitted it yet waiting to check its not just wiring next time it occurs

some of the stuff your experiencing sounds like faulty charging circuit, especially the speedo thing, might be worth checking the alternator

in my haynes manual for 3 series bmw's which includes z3's 1992 to 1998 it reads [ strut upper mounting nuts] 16 Ft -lbs hope this helps

Hi titan,its the one by the traffic lights in the centre of Selby town, rang around lots of places, some suppliers recommended on here not available in this area, other offers online around £72 did not include tyre disposal fitting balancing delivery etc .I thought this a good option with no messing...

two days before M O T , typical, engine developed really bad idle also cutting out.suspected air getting in after airflow sensor after reading other posts,seemed probable as engine revs also slow to come down after revs.turnd out to be cranckcase breather pipe come adrift. lucky me , nice easy fix ....

anybody going to harewood who is the proud owner of a peake airbag reset tool, my lights been on now for two weeks afetr I accidentally gave the wiring a knock while descending into the driving seat, when I say descending I'm sure you know what I mean :oops:

just had some fish and chips ,during evening drive at previously mentioned chippy at wetwang and was quite impressed.Each to his own and all that , we all have different tastes, but I think I would feel confident enough to recommend them.Nothing left for the ducks though!
