Mot passed, sourced a cover for positive battery jump connector (mine was missing), also sourced some bolt fastenings to replace afew cosmetically tired items in engine bay.

Thanks for reply.

Yes I considered that....listed cards tend to come in at up to £60.

Just spent circa £700 on the car over a couple of days (tyre and brakes) so some bargain hunting called for. Perhaps a cold enquiry on a whole car being split will be cheaper.

255/50/16 Nezen N'Fera SU1 x4 now all fitted.

Although stamped with same dimensions what came off definitely sat wider....the tyre fitter confirmed this - very odd, possibly down to deformation - not sure.

Anyway as stated will post a review once I have some varied driven miles on these.

Just checked realoem which shows style 55's shod with 225/50/ ZR16

Currently fitted Conti's are clearly well past it.

Doh.....yes I meant it has 225/50/16 fitted....sorry for typo confusion.

The door jam has various details of sizes and ratings.

Style 55 (5 spokes) on 2001 2.2i (non sport)....7J16 I think. Should be 255/50/16 afaik.....have this size on all 4 rims currently, albeit they are aged & well worn Contis. The current fitment just seem a bit wide but I think they are out off shape. New tyres going on tomorrow hopefully......Nex...

No idea what she was driving.

........Ferrari like on 1st quick viewing. But rear end suggests Marcos lines or even a kit car.......Door handles look as those from Mk3 Cortina.

Perhaps somoene with a keen eye &/or detailed knowledge will comment.

Update..........My 9 led towers both failed. one side had three leds remaining & the other a mere one.

So I am back to the standard 501 bulbs.

I may get some more but if I do I will try to source better quality items and probably not the 9 led units again.

That requires dropping the engine cover. The cast numbers are on the forward most part of the sump which cannot be viewed without removing same. As for the MX5, it sells well because of the price, nothing else. & balance, handling, reliability, character, image, enthusiast following, durability, aftermarket choices, simplicity, insurance etc. Quality costs, so if you want Quality you by the BMW or get a Merc its as simple as that..........

Couldn't do the Guildford southbound run as I had to travel from east of the venue & due to work couldnt confirm attending until Sunday.

Thanks for response grandparipper but not wanting to add such obvious aftermarket kit however good. In UK we are heavily charged if we modify cars or refused claim settlements if we have undecalred & visible mods.

Still intersted to hear from amyone who has fitted rear subframe bush inserts.
