Thanks for the posts. You'd think it was just a window, but the estimate from BMW to put the car back as it was (excluding the stereo!) is £1500!! This includes a door card that I'll probably not bothr replacing and also the rear plastic window that was damaged during the theft, oh and also some dam...

My Z3 broken into :o(
Well ... I had a Ripspeed fitted to my lully little car about a month ago ... and had it stolen from the car at the weekend. Bless their cotton socks, the thieving scumbag residents of North London ... http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs275.snc1/10217_194095893571_683838571_3956181_83255...

Leather seats need TLC
I noted today that a tiny area of stitching has started to come apart on the drivers seat. Can anyone recommend a top notch leather repair/refurb person?

I travel (use the term loosely as I'm usually not moving) EVERY day, twice a day and see a few zeds but never get a smile or a wave! I've usually got the windows/top down, embarrasing myself by either singing OR laughing enormously to Derek & Clive ... do any of the other Z's let on?? No!!! Smil...

Replacing the gasket on the boot brake light
Hi I noted that there was a lamp out in the rear boot brake light strip and so went to replace the bulb ... except there was no bulb, just a crappy looking holder. SO, I've ordered a new set of bulb holders (you have to order them all, not just one!) and a new gasket as the existing holders show sig...

Saw 2 Z3's on the way into Aberdeen
One I feel I've seen before on here, a blue one with a private plate and another silver one ... going into Aberdeen as I was on my way home from the airport this morning.
Sadly I've also seen one in almost the same colour combo in my own town!!

Yes, that's the one under your headlight! Can't see that it's been bumped. I drove it home, took it for a jaunt Sunday and it's been parked since. We live down a long private track so there is no passing traffic or other vehicles and also no other signs of a bump/scrape. The dealer had to replace a ...

Wanted - 1998 Z3 front bumper light lense
So ... today when washing the zed we find that the passenger side front bumper lense has a piece missing. It was on when I viewed the car, I can only assume it had been fixed back into place for selling. Anyhoo, I need the passenger side but guess I'll have to buy a pair.

Thanks for the link re the replacement dash leather. The only piece that is lifting is the piece on the passenger airbag, and it's not listed on that link! :) Re the condition of the car, the dealer was mostly on the ball, he had told me of a few chips on the bonnet. He didn't tell me about a few ch...

How does the hardtop fit on?
I'm keen to get a hardtop for my Z3 but note that some adverts include mention of a 'fixing kit'. On my M3 you just sat it on and there were two arms that fixed the roof to the car and they were part of the roof. Do I need anything extra to fit a zed hard top to my car? (Don't want to turn up to col...

Rayanne House, Holywood, Belfast
I spent the best part of a year at this guest house when working on a project away from home. The Rayanne is to me, perfect. It is run by a fabulous couple and the hubby, Connor, is a chef of enormous talent. All the rooms I stayed in are perfectly comfortable and most of them have been upgraded. Th...

Wanted - Arctic Silver Hardtop
I'm looking for an Arctic Silver hardtop. I'm driving home from Surrey to Aberdeen on Saturday so if you're on that route all the better!

Thanks for the input. A shrinking violet I certainly am not, and so the vivid colour suits me! Also, having had some bad luck with my previous E36's I'm keen to take on a car that is uber tidy (as this appears to be) with lowish miles (less than 50k) and a good service history. Within my p...

Introducing me
Hi, Thought I'd introduce myself as I'm looking at getting a Z3 as a 2nd car and just for a summer run around. I've seen a great 1.9 Fiji at £4900 and understand that this was a special edition. However, I've read that the 1.9 can leave you wanting (and I've had an E36 M3 before), but I'm not really...
