Re: Fuel sender/pump unit problem

Great advice! thanks - i will look at the Carbon canister as i do get quite a vacuum - next week i will have my van back on the road and that will give me time to get this little inconvenience sorted.
Thanks again to all! (in the event it gets sorted :)

Re: Fuel sender/pump unit problem

New front pipe as it had split and blowing like a goodun! New lamber sensor as threads stripped. They also wanted to take off the manifold to remove knackered studs, but I said heat and hit! They came out sweet. A manifold off would have cost that little bit to much, Anyway it's very likely that the...

Re: Cost to replace clutch

just had mine done at Mr Clutch - under £300. No probs
only thing is.... have to keep going back for 'clutch checks' - dont see a need but if i want to keep the warranty in place, then so be it!

Fuel sender/pump unit problem

Hi All. I have a fuel sender/pump problem and at the moment have not a scooby how to fix – so can anyone assist? Almost straight after having a new front pipe installed, and then driving home, the fuel gauge just dropped, slowly, down to nothing. So, no fuel gauge. So I'm now filing up and making su...

OK. Thats why i wanted to upload an image of the part - i'll try again tonight.
Yes it is as you describe. As a few people have upgraded to the roll hoops i thought there might be some trim panels out there and i could get the part modified ready to fit in one go as it were. Thanks. Dave

Roll Hoop Trim Panel

Would anyone who has installed the BMW roll Hoops on a 1999 Z3 still have the Lateral trim panel bottom rear left, in black? It's the upper left trim panel into which the outside part of the roll hoop would go into. Part number 51438411523 in the OEM list (item 2). I would like to get my hands on on...

Slight miss-calculation on my part here! I'm still a part missing!!! The part number i'm missing is 51-43-8-407-165 It's the left hand trim panel which the outer part of the hoop goes into. I've tried BMW and a couple of salvage yards today and this is just the first day of my search - no luck so fa...

Well you are more than likely right R! I will work on the idea that these rubber bits are still available! But i have access to a motor sport workshop and if all else they should be able to make some for me. I've got all the tools i would need to do the job - i'm afraid i could be described as a bit...

Hi. I've got the other parts from Motormec and they get the parts from BMW (well thats what they say and i've no reason to disbelieve them). It's not the most expensive part on the planet and i thought it was still avaliable. I know there is a rubber O ring i've got to make. But i need this one part.
