Will do. I had as much NCB as you could have (9 years?) but I heard they are sneaky and only say it goes up to 5 years. I don't think I will loose all of it, but say they take 2 years off, it will go to 3yrs NCB. Think thats a bit cheeky, but you can't argue. Will shop around though.
Cheers

Thanks for kind words. Yes, it was quite a bang, luckily these german cars are very well made. Also glad I had no passenger on board, as they would have taken the brunt of the impact. Window pillar was deformed and glass everywhere. My only injury was a mental one. Keep getting sudden flashbacks of ...

Does the rear strap inside the car interfere with where your head should be? I have my seat quite far back, and I'm normal height (5ft 11). Hi. Yes it does touch your head slighty, (Im 6"1), but I lowered the seat fully and it didn't really prove a problem if you aren't driving a long distance...

Thanks for excellent responces. Food for thought. Problem is, Im not sure the car is worth much these days (W Reg, 83,000), so spending alot on it doesn't seem desirable. Fuel consumption difference from Z3 1.9 to Z4 2.2?
I have my eye on a nice 2.2 Z4.
Will I notice a huge difference in fuel consumption going from 1.9 8v to 2.2?
At the moment,I do mostly short journeys, and get approx 40 - 45 miles on £10 of fuel. I was going to find a 2.0 Z4, but the sound of the 6 pot sounds soooo much nicer.

I guess its the next gen engine from mine (8v 1.9) , which has done 82000 and running fine.

Looking at getting a smaller engined Z4 fairly soon. (Selling Z3), probably with a reasonably high milage (80,000ish). It was the matt. I installed the £6 plug and the light went straight out. Reset again using INPA to double check and it stayed out.
I imagine the water from the leak, destroyed or short circuited the mat.

Btw, that black connector didn't have a place to plug in. Only the blanking holder.
Really happy, buying INPA was worth its weight in gold!

Well, the error codes didn't point that way.
I did notice a lead that had a black male 'dummy' type of connector that it could connect to, but I figured that was just a blanking port that didn't connect to anything. (it was ontop of another clear connector).
