Sorn??? That's just for motorbikes isn't it. My Z has seen seen 10 winters so far and this year will be no different. The underside is still in good nick but the panels have quite a few stone chips and the odd minor blemish, but that's why i paid good money for a quality motor, to be able to enjoy i...

With a little bit of muscle there is no need to compress the rear springs to get them out, and the shorter lowering springs pop back in even easier. The fronts are removed from the car as a spring/shock assembly before needing to be compressed and both sides can be done comfortably in about 3 hours.

The radiator comes out first. Here's how i did it. 1. Slacken the jubilee clip on the bottom hose at the bottom left of the radiator and jiggle the hose off the rad. Either place a container under the car or lose the water as i did because i wanted to renew the anti-freeze anyway. It's easier to lea...

Thermostat finally replaced
I finally got around to replacing my thermostat today after putting it off for a few weeks since i haven't been using the Z. In fact i haven't put any fuel in since the middle of July, which is nice! I just thought i would put a pic up to show the difference between new and old and the 2 small plast...

The car was actually stolen and returned 10 years ago and we tracked down the previous owner before they sold it to the trader who owned it for those 10 years and they described it as it is now (albeit they said they were not aware of the false ID - which I am inclined to believe as he is a well kn...

Take a look on here, they are easy to deal with, kept me updated with emails and delivered in a couple of working days, all for an order worth just a few quid. They are spot on.

Window trim renewal
I recently replaced my rear window and tried to re-use the original trim around the roof edge but to be honest it was well past it's best and i made a mess trying to salvage it when i should have replaced it. It has annoyed me every time i have looked at it so i tore it off the other day which had t...

This thread caught my eye because i ruined the original beading off my window when i fitted a replacement window sourced off ebay. Radiator Clamps
Ok this is embarassing but here goes. How do the clamps either side on the top of the radiator undo? They are black plastic with an arrow on the top pointing forwards and what looks like a sliding piece half way down the front edge. I assumed that this slide was meant to move out to allow the clamp ...

Thanks Sean and Seasurfer, 2 good tips plus one excellent link equals a fully functioning CD changer again. Boot mounted CD changer not working.
Up until recently all was well with the CD changer in my boot, but i went away for a week and left the bootlid slightly open which meant that the light in the boot was left on and completely discharged the battery. The battery was the original 11 year old one and it couldn't recover so i had a new b...

I have just lowered mine by 35mm all round using Apex springs which cost me £105 delivered to the door.
