Re: 1.9 16v mpg...
I usually get about 35mpg from my 1997 high-mileage (151K and rising) Z3 - goes down a little if really flogged. I have had around 40mpg on an extended tour (down to the Milau Viaduct in France with the top down all the way) and considering my wife's hair.........

Foglights
Had a close encounter with a low-flying stone recently -- so now I'm looking for a replacement driver's side foglight for my 1997 Z3 1.9 (or even just the glass lens if they come separately).
Thanks,
Oldie

Mpg on 1.9
I usually get 36 - 39 (journeys mostly out of town) but we've recently toured France and got 40 over about 2500 miles almost all with the top down and 90 kph maximum as our route didn't include autoroutes and very few major roads.

Fuel/temp guages problem
I found a break in the cable leading to the 'high-level' brakelight from the boot up to the bootlid. Taped it up temporarily and the guages are working again.
Now I just need to replace the cable.

Fuel/temp guages problem
Recently I've had a problem where the fuel and temperature guages (and the computer) stop working.
I traced it to Fuse 46 (15 amp) being blown but I can't find what the root cause is and I'm reluctant to just keep sticking a fuse in and hoping!
Any guidance or pointers would be much appreciated

I used Northwest BM at Horwich recently following a recommendation from the forum. They did a quick, thorough job at a reasonable price. I'm likely to go back there again.

Just got a Z3 -- need a good independent near Leyland
I've recently bought a 1997 1.9 roadster and I'd like to know about independent garages in the Leyland / Preston area of Lancashire as it is due for a service & MOT.
Thanks,
Oldie
