I recently bourght some chrome kidneys off ebay. they fit the z3 and z4 they look very good for £40. But the fit is poor i have had to bond them in, when i contacted the seller he didnt want to know Are these the ones from the Far East? I've seen some from Germany, but it doesn't say if they are OE...

It's a bit worse, but not hugely so.

Of course the effect is that all the gears are closer together, so there's a bit more cog-swapping than you'd normally do.

It's possible, but I don't have access to a manufacturer. They need to be able to screen print on polycarbonate, and stamp out the printed faces.

The biggest difference in handling is through fitting new tyres. Once the tyres start to wear the tramlining gradually increases. If you change the tyres and you still have issues, then start looking at bushes and other suspension components. Whilst I am prepared to accept that bushes, strut braces...

Fit a strut brace. Our 2.2i Msport was jumpy in bumpy corners, and the strut brace fixed that. The other thing that's made a huge difference in fitting 17" wheels. It has transformed the car for me. I can now feel what is happening, whereas on the 16s, the handling was vague and not confidence ...
