Re: Duxford Spring Car Show 03/05/15

Hi All

I would like to tag along, if you don't mind. Just got mine back on the road. Much appreciated if you could keep me informed of the time you are all meeting up.

Thanks.

Re: A smaller diameter steering wheel for my Z3.

Hi Chaps. I've just ordered the Royal Steering wheel upgrade myself. This is only an interim measure, as I'm researching the use of the E46 M3 wheel steering wheel, which I believe is smaller. The RAID is the perfect size but formidably expensive. If I find and fit an alternative, I'll post the howt...

Re: front left wheel very hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agree with all the above comments. BUT, this happend to me and I had a long drive home in traffic, on and off the brakes and they failed (totally) !! Had to pull over to cool them down, then drive "gingerly" home. I took the calipers off and rerfurbished them completely. Moral is, get them...

What an excellent example, a credit to you !

May I ask, from the picture, your steering wheel looks thicker thtn the standard example on my //M. Did you specifically ask the trimmers to do that for you ? Its the only thing that really niggles me with mine.

Regards
Pete.

Excellent advice from Aceman. I had the same problem with my handbrake being almost vertical ! Stripped the rear brakes down and examined the rear shoes, just in case they needed replacing and to get all the dust that accumulated in them out. Adjusted the rear brake shoes as suggested by Aceman. Han...

I have done all the brakes on the front of mine which includes :- refurbing the calipers, goodridge aeroquip hoses and EBC red stuff pads. Having talked to a BMW specialist they advised not to use Silicone race brake fluid, which I must say, rather surprised me. I have always used that in my race ca...

Veloce is Latin derived for "rapid" OR in Italian, music being played with rapidity or speed. Max, well, obvious really, I take everything to the Max, being an Ex rally driver.

So, very loud fast music being played whilst driving a car very fast !!

Red Stuff give a good feel over standard but not the extra performance I'm looking for. Having driven in competition, always looking for that bit more, and of course no fade !!!

I'll try the Yellow Stuff next. Thanks for the advice gentlemen. 8-)

The Boxter in my opinion is a wannabe 911 and always has been. I've driven several and they feel a little fat, i.e. it's a big car. My Z3M feels just right, even with that long bonnet I find I know exactly where the whole car is on the road. There is also that little bit of excitement knowing that y...

When I got mine I did 800 miles on a long weekend with the roof down, superb.

Careful with that hardtop, they are a lot heavier than you think and they take up a pile of space !!

Make lots of miles while the sun shines ! 8-)
