Update about pressureregulator. I have now bought a new pressureregulator for vanos and mounted it yesterday. I noticed that idle became a bit lower and vanos rattle little quieter. But now I really know vanos oilpresssure is right.

Extra weight
Does anybody here know what the extra weight inside rear bumper (MR -98) is for. The are bolted to the car and they lock like they always been there. two of them, one on each side.

Thank you. I clean them using some car shampo, then it was tons of elbow grease and pollish in different gradient( is that the name when one is finer then the other)? and at last washed it with glass cleaner.

Hi Here is the latest from sweden. the discussion i now about that if one do this mod the rattle is gone but the pressure is not rised but lowered. The rattle is coming from gears behind vanos and depends on a spring that have lost elasticity over time. Spring decide how much oilpressure. Softer spring = low pressure and to much clearance between gears = rattle. to compensate for soft spring one can adjust oilpressure upp to normal level. Or on...
