I would be very interested in the Driver's side door entry sill if in very good condition and available.
It's the plastic part with the aluminium 'Roadster' strip.

You could try petrol.

Before you go to the expence of buying a new battery, borrow a full charged battery and see if it too loses power. I had the same problem and discovered a short circuit was the reason for power loss, also, your alternator will not recharge your battery to its full potential, as it's only designed as...
