Hello,
I would be very interested in the Driver's side door entry sill if in very good condition and available.
It's the plastic part with the aluminium 'Roadster' strip.

You could try petrol.

Before you go to the expence of buying a new battery, borrow a full charged battery and see if it too loses power.
