Lovely looking black 3.0 and only up the road from Bristol. Looks nice with the AC wheels but wouldn't think they were "genuine" at that price? Seen these wheels sell for over a £1000 in here, Seems a little expensive as just browsing says above they are about at the right money, mine came...

Sorry to jump in the thread , just started doing some work on my wife old 2.8 for the mot and thought it would be a good idea to sort the rust bubbling on the front and rear of the sills and the small wing which holds the side indicator. Just know it's going to be a can of worms........................

Yes the dealers seem to get fairly excited with their pricing..............I'm afraid that most are far too expensive for us now, we definitely missed the boat when it came to purchasing an M, although the 3.0 is still pretty quick for normal day to day use.

There's a black S54 on Autotrader at the moment with approx. 80K on the clock with the hardtop for £12500.00 , looks good to me, maybe all the dealers have realised that there are only so many people who have £20 K to spend on a plaything! ps more than happy to up Berties offer to £5000

Hi Acoustic Not exactly sure tbh, think it was from BM cables but there are loads available only problem with ours is that the codes are in German so have to do some online translating to work them out !

As per the title, just got around to fitting the inlet side sensor after doing my usual muppetry and buying the exhaust side by mistake! I know I should have checked on the engine before ordering , looking at the diagram on Real oem the exhaust sensor is positioned to the right so I wrongly assumed ...

That's my tilt sensor lol, wasn't the best condition when pulled out the boot! Couldn't find a good secondhand replacement at the time so just heat shrunk the wires and have had no problem with the alarm since....... not too sure what the point of it is tbh as looking back through previous posts it ...

Thanks guys I did clear the codes but the weathers not been great for playing with the car so haven't hooked it back up yet. The only problem we have is it sometimes takes a spin or so to start from warm yet is instant from cold first thing in the morning, never had that problem with the old 2.8!

Thanks for the response guys just my luck to end up with a version on inpa that 's in German! Plus the codes need to be converted to make any sense but the code that appeared twice on the bottom line did convert to the cam sensor too, unless that's just coincidence? Also the screenshot shows only 10...

As above, have run the INPA software and it came back with this code, googled and came up with nothing like nothing I've seen before, have I done something wrong or does anyone recognise any of this? Errorcode 41 78 01 28 29 04 86 6B 61 A8 Any advice appreciated !

Check that one of the wiper arms is not rubbing on the underside of the bonnet......... seems to be a common fault as our 2.8 did it and the wife's new 3.0 does exactly the same thing, a deft bit of bending usually does the trick!

The mileage was 103,000, which is 20K odd more than our 2.8 which is a 98 model, but she runs beautifully and with a full main dealer history you would probably expect that? I don't do a huge amount of miles but do use it to commute every day so certainly not going to be a garage queen so the highis...

Usually a loose or faulty connector under the seat, the resetting tool is very cheap on ebay, probably just as cheap to buy one ,at least you'll have one if it happens again!

Thanks for the offer Brian ,would be nice to have her back to normal just the plug fell to pieces when it was removed from the sensor,would probably need to find a breaker and cut the plug and wire tails off so they could be soldered back into the original loom.
