Hmm, I've never heard of a PNI check. I know what HPI is, but not PNI. Chances are, he simply wants to check and see what maintenance has been done by BMW themselves over the years, which I assume he could access for free on his work systems with the last seven digits on the chassis number. thanks f...

to adjust from the handbrake lever, do I simply lift the leather boot and then ....... (?) I assume there will be two cables and two nuts of some kind. Maybe locking nuts? Hi guys
going to attempt a fix this evening but we seem to have two differing views here.
One says adjust the cog at the rear hub and the other says adjust the cable under the handbrake lever. Any views on which I should be doing? (rattle is only from the left rear)

many thanks for the info. To clarify (maybe being a numpty), am I correct in thinking that there is no requirement to remove the disc and caliper for this? I simply take the wheel off and turn the disc until I can see the "toothed cog" and adjust this accordingly? Is there a gap somewhere ...

Hi all, my rear left has developed a rattle which I think is related to the brake. The rattle occurs only over rougher road surfaces and stops completely if I click the handbrake on one notch. Cables have not popped out of their clips under the car. Does anyone have a step by step fix for what this ...

Its def gonna be the 1.9 or the 2.0 as I am planning to use it as my daily drive so need to keep fuel costs down and tax to. I use my M as a daily driver and find the fuel consumption quite reasonable ( if driven lightly) plus its got the benefit of making you grin from ear to ear when you prod it ...

I would remove all the faults you have rectified and only give the information either when people view the car or if asked, as it looks as though it has had problems which would put off anyone who wants one but does not know about these problems or about this type of car. dust the inside of the boot "walls" with talc and wait until it rains. The water run should be evident in the talc. Its a bit of a messy way to trace it but its easily cleaned up afterwards and it worked a treat on my old MX-5 when it had a leak in the boot.

I thought that USING the air con simply increased fuel consumption, but maybe robbed a tiny bit of power. I would imagine that if you physically removed it, then you would simply have some weight saving to the car, but doubt it will add any more power. Slightly off topic, but does anyone have a phot...

Wanted - mesh wind deflector

Hi all
I'm after a mesh wind deflector (with all fittings) to go on my Z3M (with standard roll hoops) in good condition.
I prefer to collect with cash and am based in St Albans - Hertfordshire - so the closer the better (don't want to travel too far)

Air-con envy

Grrrrrrrr, lovely weather and bloody air-con not working.
The button lights up and that's it, not even a noise from the engine bay or a slight increase in revs at idle.
Slightly annoying
