Re: BMW Z3M Roadster waterpump
Sorry for al late answer - but for the future: The lowest bolt is accessible trough an indentation on the flywheel. i.e. you have to rotate the flywheel to the right position, and then you can reach it. It's one of those things that you find out after you have cursed a lot over stupid BMW-engineers ...

Re: Suspension refresh and upgrade - parts list and where to
I'd might go for another source for the subframe bushings, I received a rather poor quality one from IE. I had some trouble and waiting time to get it corrected. I know they have a good reputation in the US, so it can have been a rare mistake on their part.

Re: Suspension refresh and upgrade - parts list and where to
I changed my suspension last vinter to H&R lowering springs and matching Bilsteins. I am very satisfied. The car is well planted on the road, and looks much better. It does eat more tire on the inside on the rears since I have not added any possibilities to change camber. The vinter before I put...

Your question was about if the MZ3 pump is specific. I looked in Realoem.com and it seems like that is the case. The thing you can do is to go inte Realoem.com, look for your part, copy the part number, go back and paste it in the search box, and you will see all models of BMWs that uses that part. ...

There is absolutely no filter, whatsoever. I know since I used to park close to a gigantic birch. In summer when it shed it's seeds they'd get into the system. Every time I started the blower I'd get showered with birch seeds, which by the way are nasty to get out of the carpet...

The recommendation in most forums is not to go plyU on the diff. Sounds like a very typical gearbox in need of a shift pin job. It's a relatively easy and cheap DIY was it not for the fact that you need to bring down the transmission to do it. I've got images and links to description and vendor for the pins here: http://perkornhall.se/Per_Kornhall/Shift_pins.html...

Drive it thoroughly warm before you park it (to dry out the exhaust etc). Don't start it again. Trickle charger - good. It´s not difficult. You just have to use a jack to keep the tank in position (with some padding) and then you can change one of the two bands at the time. The most important thing is to check that the insulation is in good shape, otherwise the bands can eat into the plastic tank with easily foreseea...

You shouldn't take the welds in the boot lightly. It's a sign that the crossmember is slowly being ripped out of the floor by the movements of the differential. Often there are cracks in the differential bracket too. There are different opinions on what to do about it. On the US-forums Randy Forbes ...
