The Haynes manual is for the' E36 and includes Z3'?
If this is the case the Z3 has the rear set up based on the E30 and the same as the compact E36 which cannot be adjusted. As colb says teh rubber bushes are probably worn by now so the alignment wont be as good as when it left the factory.

Same on ours but also pin 3 in the plug had corroded so just check yours hasn't. Pin 3 is the 12v feed to the sensor. Easy enough to do. Best if you jack and support the filter side of the car or lift onto ramps. There are quite a few fixings 6 or 8 I think to remove and the the cover comes off passenger side. It's not only limited to Z3 but all that age of BMW. From the pic on realoem it looks as if it is a pin that pushes up into a hole in the top of the ram and then the curved bit locks onto the neck of the ram.

I never cures the leak in ours where it ran from the gutter rail and into the boot so just knocked the bung out at the base of the boot well and water now drains away.

Had similar on our 3.0 started off as difficult to start and then stalling when pulling away from lights this turned out to be a cracked/perished intake hose just after the MAF/air filter which cured the stalling. Most engine support beams are designed to sit on the channel where the wing bolts to the inner wing but obviously the z3 doesn't have this so you will need to sit it on the strut towers and use another beam in line with the engine to support it probably supported on the front slam panel.

Changed the front discs and pads to get rid of a horrible "oh sh** im not going to stop feeling" turns out only one of the pads was moving in the caliper and the other was just bending and hardly touching the disc! anyway, the Pagid pads seem fine and can cram them on nicely. but..... one...

The car is still there and been through the body shop. It is being used so perhaps by one of the staff as a fair bit of brake dust on the wheels, but parked in the used car sales area? I called in today for the parts dept.

I guess you are replacing the discs so put 1 or 2 of the wheel bolts back in a few threads. Get a big hammer and hit the outer edge of the disc hard and alternate opposite sides and it will come off. The wheel bolts are to stop the disc coming off in a rush, they hurt when they come off quickly.

No problem with marks as long as there is no grit/dirt where it touches the car paint. Can put it on in 5 mins or less. Was used when I got it but still fine, has faded a bit.

I have a Cabrio Shield cover. It is made from a heavy duty fabric and locks into the boot and door shuts and under the wiper blades and withstood all winter and the roof stayed dry. Glad it is sorted . Code readers are good as they give you a starting point where to look. Usually clear the codes first and then see which is the first to come back is usually a good indication of the fault.

They are a tight fit when new and as soon as any rust starts they seem to be stuck solid and most seem to have to destroy then to get them out.Yes there is only one fixing and as you have got that out there may be some hope if you leave them soaking in penetrating type fluid.
