Thank you laRay That is a very comprehensive list of checks The battery could be getting low as it is at least 5 years old and like your car ZEDNA hibernates for the winter Last winter the battery went flat for the first time and I put an optimiser on for the remaining months I will run tests tomorr...

The clock/computer in my 1998 2.8 z3 works fine unless the car is not used for a few days.
I then have to reset it and it will work fine.

Hi althulas
Purchased heat pads from EBay complete with wiring switches relays.
Local upholsterer striped seats fitted heat pads and renewed sagging foam for a reasonable £80.
Zedna now has lovely warm seats

The heat pads sound interesting as my seats have recently been reupholstered
Do they fit under the existing covers I would also need switches ect

Retro fitting heated seats
Hello have not posted anything for along time Zedna has behaved no problems for 2 summers.
She is sleeping now but I am sure she would like to wake up in the spring with heated seats fitted
Zedna is a 1998 2.8
Is this possible and what parts would I need

Thanks for your replies went for a look at the car it had square number plates & kph speedo but it was a six cylnder

While driving away 50 yards from home, the doors on my 1997 1.9 Z3 suddenly locked, the fuel guage showed zero, the temperature guage showed maximum. Turned back to the house, checked fuses, to find fuse 46 blown. Replaced fuse and car has been fine since. What could this be? Many thanks in advance ...
