Mine would not fit in a Primera estate, which is very roomy, in fact it was not even close so i would say no. We ended up taking the Z down and fitting it to drive back.

The bolt with the rubber washer is to screw into the hard top to hold it in place. There should be one either side, if youve only got the one and decide to sell it i would be interested. Went with OEM after reading up a bit and thinking the blue ones could leave the ride a bit harsh. She drives the car mostly so comfort is an issue!!! Got them from Eurocarparts, £18 a side minus a bit of discount.

Just under £100 for everything from BMMINI if yours is the simple version with fly by wire throttle. If its got a cable its more complicated (read more expensive) but i have done it on other makes of car.

Brian, its the one thing i use all day at work and in my car, the wife will probably never use it. Simple easy plug and play as you say, if only every job was this easy!!! Now, who does the screw covers cheap.

The difference on mine is the thickness of a finger, so about 1cm. I have received the cruise control parts today and i also ordered a thicker spring pad to try and even things up. Well, i bought a set of rear coil springs but they are the wrong ones so not sure if that counts!! Also a thermostat but not fitted it yet as i will also do the water pump but i havent got it yet. I got one from germany too. After much trying i measured it against the original and it was the wrong size. tha went back and i got an ebay one which went in a heck of a lot easier. I have sewn the ends too, more secure.

Thanks for that link MrWhippy, appreciated. Its good to know they quote against standard, gives me a better idea of where the car will end up. To be honest that Apex kit still drops the car by a further 20mm and i dont want to go any lower so its looking like i will need to find standard for the spo...

It is hard to say if an aftermarket kit will lower as I am unsure what they base the ride height on - Standard or M-Tech. I went down that route once with SPAX kit and it ended up too low. Thats my fear now, i will maybe start a thread to see what ride height people have who have changed their susp...

Brian, look like the original spring pads but i need to look deeper to try and find out the thickness of new ones and compare to the ones on there. There is a label but not blue, i took one off to do a search, its yellow and says in big black letters AF, almost like AA, the number is in 2 parts, 335...

Brian, yes, 2.2 sport. Ive had a good look around, nothing seems bent or out of line anywhere. That was on a ramp by the way with my mate who is an MOT tester, so no idea on the eneveness. Decision made, she wants to keep the Z3. I am pleased in fact as i love it too. So as we are keeping it, i have just ordered a set of rear springs as the drivers side sits a little lower than the passenger, a new thermostat as the heater works fine on full but turn it down a bit and it drops to cold...

The window from germany is being returned for a refund. It is not the same size as the original. Strange, he has good feedback and has sold a few of these. I have bought a slightly used one on ebay instead. Update to follow when it arrives and i fit it.

Try warming the rear window with a hair dryer...might allow it to stretch a tad.. If the weather there is really cold, the plastic won't want to flex as much...? Took ours off yesterday, cleaned and vaccumed all the fag ash from the wife, checked the colour of the rear window, then put it back on. No choice as when i first fitted it i had to put it on and off a couple of times to get the adjustment and fit right, when moving the roof up one cold day the wind...

Agree, it is a bit over the top, more so at speed, gets a bit twitchy!! SHe loved using my car while i was laid up for 10 days though, thats what prompted the question.

My wife drives hers every day, whatever the weather. In my opinion its not the car, its the drivers who cant cope with a tiny bit of snow. Any car is fine, you need to adjust to the conditions.
