Hi all, I am having a clear out. I sold the car a while ago now and I have parts liying around which I will never use... I havea LHS wishbone bush, bought from euro car parts. Hi guys, I also have: Halfodrs all season cover. very good quality, with straps, was very happy with it. Unfortunately it doesn't fit my new car... (will buy a large one for the new car as for the price I believe it is one fo the best available). An original BMW bulb box, part number 72 60 8 370 322...

This is the first time I am selling a car in the UK, are there any precautions I should take regarding test drives?
Should I ask a potential buyer if he has an insurance? Or should I notify my insurance that other people will drive my car?

I was about to buy only the ball joints and have them swapped by a mechanic but I just bought two new Meyle arms at a 100£ so easy swap.

Thanks for the advise, I thought about undo the intake manifold, take appart all the components and give them a good clean and in the same time have a look at the pipes underneath...

Just need to take a bit of time to do it!

So... after that the car started first time every time!

We pluged the computer in but didn't find anything wrong!

At the moment the car is still going all right! Lets wait and see.

Thanks to Brian for coming anyway, it saved me buying all sorts of second hand parts for mothing!

ok, well what kind of diagnostic tool would you recommend?

And how can I be sure the diagnostic tool will find the problem. Very often these diagnostic tools indicate a code which can be a problem caused by many different parts/sensors.

I am thinking about changing the sensors... they are not too expensive if I buy aftermarket. As far as I know there are three majors sensors, throttle, camshaft and crank shaft. If I can get the lot for a 100£ I'll change them all and see what append. For the ECU test, this is a good idea but where ...

Took off the glove box, had a good look around, a didn't find anything to connect the control box.

Well... don't really know do be honnest! I far as I know it is a UK car...

Number plate is R447CGJ chassis number LD82913. Every time I went on real eom it seems to say it was a UK car.

I've taken off almost everything on the driver side... instrument cluster, head light knob, frog lights... so I can see all the ends, no cables left... and no sign of these connectors!

Is it possible they are behind the heater unid? or behind the glove box?

I found demon tweak but they din't sell the part!

Everything else is ok. I just repainted the top steel spring seats as they were quite rusty.

I have been looking all evenung on the internet and can't find anyone selling these stop bumps... appart the USA!

Ok, so stoped work on the front suspentions as it was raining.

I had a look on euro car parts, GSF and they don't sell the part I want.

I looked on e-bay but everything seems to be from the USA.

Do I have to go to a BMW dealer then? no choice?

HELP - Front suspention bump stop

Hi all, I started to change my front suspentions and ididn't buy new bump stop as I expected them to be ok but they are worth than expected, is there any chance I could find some somewhere today??

I had a good look around the steering column again today... and no connectors found! I can't fint the connector for the cruise control switch and I can't find the connector for the connector for the clutch switch!! I folloed the loom everywhere, and with my hand where I can't see. There are no loose...

Hi all, I removed some of the driver side trip and...

I can't find any connector for the switch attached to the stearing column.
There is the right bracket for the clutch pedal switch but no connector as well...

it doesn't look like I can instll cruise control to my car!
