As much as I have loved my silver Z3, a friend was selling his TT Roadster, and I have succumbed to it's charms, I know, what charms I hear you cry ..
Anyway, she's on e-bay item number 171025276822.
Most of the info is on there, but happy to answer any questions.

An amazingly powerful Fiat 500 1.2 ...... I jest. It's £ 30 a year to road tax, 45mpg ..... gutless ! Also a 2005 Honda Fireblade, now that is "sh*t scaringly" fast !

I'd say go for it ! I've had a lot of " 2nd " cars, and can honestly say my Z3 3.0i is the one I have liked the most, and there's been Porsches & Mercedes in the past .... the BMW is easy to maintain, cheap to insure, parts are more than reasonable and they look great !

Re: Anyone been out in a Z this year
In mine this morning, so much nicer to drive than my little Fiat 500 everyday. Noted that the rear window isn't in the best of condition, and that'll be my next job, maybe April time. Loving the heated seats and the full on heat of the heater, had the roof down briefly at lunchtime, always feel a bi...

I read that PH article. Brought my 3.0 earlier in the year for £ 2.4k, it's done 114k, but it's the best 2nd car I have had, and I have had a few ( Mx5, MGF's, Boxster S, Corvette etc .. ) I have to say that the BMW is so much fun, it's clutch is a little high and on the way out in the next few k's,...

Fantastic car ! I'm keeping my Z3 for a couple of years, and will move onto a 997 911 Carrera 2, with the facelifted lights like yours, not sure I'll be able to stretch to a turbo though ! Had a 3.2 S Boxster for a while, but those stupid "couldn't afford a real Porsche" comments were ten-...

Re: BMW's for auction at Duxford on Tuesday evening.
I've seen that M5 engined 3.0 csl, it was for sale at a local E-Type Jag specialist, everything on that car is excellent, apart from the horrific fit of the drivers door, ie, it doesn't and catched the rear jam. At the price it was originally up for £ 45k +, you'd have thought that would be remedied...

Those Chip Away people are not cheap. I brought a 3.0i Z with a few paint issues, and it's worked out cheaper to buy a door in the right colour, and pay my Indie to strip my door apart and put glass, motor, door card onto the "new" door. There's a X scratch above the driver door handle may...

Sorry, I'm not saying it's too much, but it just seems from the one's sold through here, and my own, that your price is probably where Z3 3.0i's should be, but the market for big engined cars, especially "toys" has dried up a little, yours does look great though !

Ok
So no answer from him, and it was a bit cheeky of me.
So I've gone and put a holding deposit on this Z3 3.0i on ebay www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300773606441
Had a long chat with the guy, it's got a few blemishes, but everything works, and I like something I need to work on.
Thanks tho !
