Well I suppose at least it's not just me who's messed this up before! Will keep it all posted in the gallery section for who's interested. Gonna try stripping the paint and starting again and if it fails a second time I'll probably just use carbon fibre effect vinyl.

Got 2 wheels ready for spraying today. Do you intend to use a bit of Acid Etch primer first? Seems to be the recommendation from those in the know. 1.9 16v locally I get about 170-200 miles out of £40. best I've ever got was from a full tank I was just over half full after 250 miles on motorways and dual carridge ways. At the end of the day we don't buy these cars for their mpg. I do get some weird looks from non petrol heads when I say this!

looks great. First time I've seen it done on headlights. Couple of (probably daft) questions though.
1 is it a spray on job or some kind of tints?
2 is it legal? as in will the police pull you for it? wouldn't mind trying it myself if it's legal

you can get the grommet off eBay. pre face lift and post facelift are different so make sure you get the right one. I got my brake light seal from the main dealers a few month ago for £5 next day delivery
