first remove the gear knob. you pull up on it really hard and subsequently hit yourself in the face. :dunce: I think you put it in neutral first. the whole unit is fixed with plastic tabs on its perimeter and simply pushes into place. dont make the mistake of using a small flat head to prise it out ...

I can remember a similar situation about 5 years ago when I changed the thermostat and coolant. I'm just about to change the coolant again ( when the rain stops!) but my plan is to disconnect the top and bottom hoses and flush through with the garden hose for a while from the top. Have a missed any...

I recently performed a coolant change. All references state that a 1997 2.8 (M52B28) holds 10 1/2 Litres. I removed the radiator plug which drained a little over 3 litres, then I removed the engine drain bolt which drained approx 2 litres, i also had the thermostat housing off and replaced the gaske...

when I went down to the garage to take the pics I had a quick attempt at re-fixing...... I first fitted the bottom clip to the dash, then I firmly pushed at the top where the plastic clip fits and the first thing I noticed was that the top metal clip was out of alignment with the hole in the a-pilla...

I'm curious sirius-c, you seem to have quite a few extra power connections going on under that bonnet, care to share? are you referring to the little fuse box at the back right side? its a 4 gang blade fuse block thingy-mi-bob :D , I'm using 3 of them...1 for a Inphase USW10 compact sub in the pass...

I fitted a pair similar to these but the indicator connection on them was a different shape/fitment to the ones on my car.
I had to chop the existing ones off and solder the new ones in....everything else fit fine
These maybe a direct fit on yours, but I'm just sharing my experience

The only external thing I have read which can cause this sort of thing (and I’m not sure whether it is totally accurate) is where a higher octane fuel is used. The ECU would have been factory programmed for 95 octane (possibly even slightly less) and so if say, 98 octane is used, there may well be ...

I have just replaced mine on a 99 2.8. Mine`s in front of the drivers side suspension turret (radiator side). You can`t miss it, it`s quite big. Looks like you have something else where mine is. If it is running rich it may be that the ECU thinks the engine is cold. Hook it up to an INPA and see what engine temperatures you are getting. can anyone recommend any software that can read live oxygen sensor data on the old Z3's (circular port under bonnet)?
INPA shows nothing much.
Ive got the adapter & usb cable.
