Well I am the opposite in the sense of height being only 5' 2" I am below the top of the seat, I have no hoops or wind deflector and have no problem with comfort whilst driving at any speed. I do find having the windows down stops wind buffering around the cab as has been demonstrated on occas...

oops we just unplugged ours as the pump was noisey but we did this when we first got it around 7 years ago don't think anything has melted id better check

we have had our 2.8 for coming up 7 years now paid £6500 for it with 55k its had a service every year and been took off the road every winter I stripped all the panels off and resprayed it last year and its just cracked 70k we wouldn't sell it. for what you would get its just not worth it https://fb...

you can give them a polish up with tcut or farecla g3 after a couple of days air dry laquer does dull off as it drys should be ok to wax after that

I wouldnt call the mileage high for its age tbh id rather buy a used and loved car than one that's sat parked up which can cause problems to a new user as its brought back into use. value is whatever someones prepared to pay and its a buyers dream time at the moment agree values will go up tho

you did remember to etch prime first if not it wont key and youl be wasting time and money (Halfords rattle can primer isn,t self etching)

place I use turns them around in a day drop car of at 9.00 and pick it up at 4.00 all four wheels done they only take an hour in the oven maybe a couple of hours removing scuffs in the lathe and stripping them .they do three or four cars a day

well I allways pay to have mine powder coated even tho I could spray them myself (I don't have the facility's to powder coat myself)its much more durable than even the factory finish just get recommendations for a local place to you as with bodyshops theres good and bad

id ignore the above 1500 is far too fine for primer it wont key(if you don't know what your doing don't do it) the thing with ally is no primer or paint will key without first using an acid etch it starts getting expensive and harmfull to your health you can get your wheels powder coated for £50-£60...

keep an eye out on ebay for a mirror I got a mint one for £19.00 and a lot of cobblers who do key cutting can do you a copy key but like said you may have to go to bmw to have it programed

id buy one without rust in the bonnet as the bonnets an expensive item to replace and short of cutting the rusted metal out and welding in new the rust will return .

yes our car passed its mot a few weeks back with the airbag light on I have since bought a cheep reset tool of ebay and switched it off.i asked the tester at the mot station and he said exactly what I said. its not a fail item yet. ahh but does it handle better itl certainly feel like your going faster through the bends more go kart,ish but is it any quicker our 2.8 has no body roll when cornering quickly in fact the limiting factor is usualy wheel spin and oversteer .and we can tour in comfort

I got one of them for £18 too worked a treat mine was the connection under the drivers seat .one thing to consider if you have had the steering wheel off you may have damaged the squib very easily done if your not carefull that would put the light on too

theres very little difference and the perceived difference is more down to the fact you know its the wrong colour .in fact the formulations for both colours is very similar
