Having taken the outer sills off the inner sills do have some small holes where the outer sills sit and the consequence of 16 years of road muck collecting between the two. saying that the inner sills are obviously made of pretty meaty steel been a convertible, has anyone had any experience of weld...

Car is looking much nicer now :)

Sorry I've never had a windscreen replaced so can't help with that but to save you smashing another one when changing wiper blades again, turn the ignition and wipers on and then remove the key when they are at full height on the windscreen :wink:

It's a very easy job removing and fitting a bonnet. I've done it countless times on different BMWs and they're all basically the same (obviously excluding reverse opening bonnets :lol: ) Just unclip the washer jet hose, then get 1 person on each side of the bonnet, rest the bonnet on your shoulder w...

I've done this too. Gave them a sand with a scotch pad and satin black spray

You can actually buy them new still for a bargain £30 each :roll: :D

Looks lovely! Do the kidney grilles come apart on the Z3? I have the same as you, chrome on chrome, and want to have the centre slats in black. Was thinking about taking them apart and spraying them, rather than picking up another set. Car sits well on the style 32's - I'm having mine refurbed soon...

Bought another set of kidney grilles with a plan to have the surrounds painted to match the wheels. Ended up fitting them as they were after the car was resprayed just because they were in better condition than my old set. Time for a quick speaker upgrade! I like the look of the standard radio so always put off upgrading, but after 2 years with it I thought I'd try my old Alpine headunit in to see what a difference it made. I think my wheels are probably exactly the same spec as yours but they're 32s

Might give you an idea to the fitment you can expect :)
