Oh, I got a closure on this one, thanks for posting how it ended!
Actually had the same issue with one of my widebodies, got lucky - my friend with narrowbody had the same problem on opposite side, so we just swapped the driveshafts with each other.

Don't waste your time on all fittings. 2 at the front are enough. Never fitted the others for last 10 years and never experienced issues even at speeds over 200 km/h.

I have read somewhere about GM auto boxes fitted to some of the Z3's which were sealed for life and as such you couldn't change the ATF the result of which being that they have quite a short mileage/life. :?: Keep in mind that BMW didn't expected one model "life" to be longer than ~5-7 ye...

I know that EVAP system is measuring pressure on testing (at least on M52), and reports leak errors if the pressure is not as expected.
Not sure if same applies to M44. M44 doesn't have the MAP sensor.

Can anyone tell me if this is a good worthwhile mod? and/or are there any down sides to this? No, it's not, as it is not cold air intake, it is hot air intake as it sucks hot air from engine bay. Probably decrease in power instead of any improvement. Also stock filter definitely filters the air bet...

Not sure those reflectors are HID compliant. Putting HIDs in them is evil. Please sell the HID ballasts/bulbs to some non-z3 owner separately.

Installed full Supersprint exhaust (race headers, catless midpipe, sport muffler). Some videos with sound. First video is with soft top up BwKMhYB4v3w Second - I just asked my mom to rev the engine a little to take this vid. 0qZB3_-JpjE IMHO it is VERY loud and I don't like the drone at 2k-3k range....
