Re: Anyone got an automatic Z3?

I have read somewhere about GM auto boxes fitted to some of the Z3's which were sealed for life and as such you couldn't change the ATF the result of which being that they have quite a short mileage/life. :?: Keep in mind that BMW didn't expected one model "life" to be longer than ~5-7 years at tha...

Re: where is the sensor that reads vacuum ?

I know that EVAP system is measuring pressure on testing (at least on M52), and reports leak errors if the pressure is not as expected.

Not sure if same applies to M44. M44 doesn't have the MAP sensor.

I know that aftermarket soft-tops usually don't have them - one of the reasons why aftermarket soft tops are cheaper.

There is no light on dash about lambda sensor. Read the ECU errors.
If that's really the lambda issue, stick with original, that's one of a few parts you don't want to mess with (the other is MAF sensor). 130 GBP even for original seems steep (unless that's the price for a pair).

If removing weight, you should start with lighter wheels - that's rotating mass which will be 2x as efficient as removing weight everywhere else.
