Cd changer not recognised
Hi, I have the business tape unit and like the nostalgia of playing my old tapes. I also have the CD changer in the boot, but when I switch the source over on the head unit, nothing is there, it's not recognised. I know both are original to the car. Any ideas what I can check please? I'd like to kee...

Re: Wanted: low mileage, full service history z3/z4 (minter!
I had my first Z3 (1.9) and found it under powered, I did quite a bit of work on renewing shocks, bushes etc and loved the car but the lack of power started to bother me. I swapped it for 3.0 Z4 and didn't like it at all. I kept it only a few weeks. To me the 4 was boring after the character and aes...

Re: Help please.
Good info about the canister. Thanks.
Regarding the braid, I've now seen it on a few engine photos, so it's a very common upgrade or factory. Either way, it seems the only difference.

Me and my lad have just bought a 3.0 each. We notice today 2 differences even though his build is Sept 2000 and mine is Dec 2000. First different is the canister on his on the front left of engine, mine doesn't have it. Second is the left side near the screen. I have a braided brake line on the brak...

Hi all, engine paint is sorted. Apparently it's Goosewing Grey.
Local paint guy knew it and mixed 3 rattle cans and a touch up pot and it matches perfectly.
Car outer is Titan Silver.

Does anyone know the paint name or code for the engine bay on a 2001 Sport.
It looks an off-White colour.
I need to match it after doing some rust prevention work.

3.0 wanted (maybe)
After selling the Z3 for a Z4 and then a Boxster S, I may be yearning for a nice, well loved 3.0 with most options ticked for sensible money. Excellent service history BM or specialist backed up by a wad of receipts is favoured.

Z3 1.9 X-Reg for sale - genuine car
I have to sell the Z3 quickly, I am looking for offers around £2500.00. I purchased the car last year for £2750.00 and have spent £2000+ putting it in a very good mechanical condition, upgrading the interior and some exterior upgrades. My plan was to make it as good mechanical condition as new and a...

Hi David
I think I still have both. On holiday until Tuesday but you can have for £20.00 including post if you want them. I remember the condition was ok, no broken lugs and colour is grey. I replaced with aluminium versions.

Hi. Having a misfiring cylinder under load. Re: Wanted: OEM Wind deflector clips
The parts I purchased off ebay were: Edge brackets were: 181180879971 - these work very well, I just had to pinch them a little tighter - close them a bit. Used a vice with soft jaws (very easy) Clips were: 110999275996 (20mm I think but please check as I can't quite remember) - I took the old ones ...

Re: Wanted: OEM Wind deflector clips
I had the same problem. After a quick search on ebay I found the clips and some coated metal brackets that fit on the trim. I did need to sew the new bracket on but the overall cost was less than a tenner and is a nice strong solution.

I just put 4 Uniroyal Rainsport 2 on my 2001 1.9. Before fitting, the ride was terrible, always fighting the steering and making small corrections at all speeds. Since having the new tyres the car drives very normally. I thought I needed new wishbones and everything. I can't believe tyres have made ...
