Welcome to the forum usernothername,
The engine management light as far as I know only indicates that a fault code has been stored in memory but I'm no expert........there are others on this forum who are well into the engine management/diagnostic side of BMW....they practice the dark art.

Thanks Lordhelpus, I admit my information was apocryphal, so probably inaccurate. However it's been a popular belief that the ratchets were not part of the deal as they're easily abused. I am encouraged that they seem to be included. Now, where's that lump of scaffold pole to make a breaker bar out...

I got that 120 piece set for £59.99 in January 2015 - after a prolonged fight. They offered them at that price and I had a reservation number but due to a systems failure I initially paid £20 more. Much haggling and threats of Trading Standards later and I got a refund of £20. :) It is a good set. ...

I've never seen Halfords advanced socket sets at anything other than half price, a bit like a DFS sale. My local timber merchant prices by the metre and charges for what he sells you as per Brian H's calculation. But then he will sell you the length of timber that you ask for and you are not obliged to buy a fixed length which have become daft due probably to some EU rule. Why 2.4 metres? I can under...

AFAIAA you pay the price per meter and the .4,.6,.8m is calculated as a proportion of the 39p. A length 2.4m long should be 0.39 x 2.4 = £0.936p which will be rounded up to £0.94p. mmmm,, yeah I see what you mean kind of..??? its just that their pricing total didn't reflect this when I priced it up...
