Re: New Project - 1998 M Roadster

Not much of an update, other than to say I haven't used the car in about 3 years. Since finishing the car 4 years ago, we've had 3 kids and of course being a 2 seater, I don't enjoy the car on my own to be honest. I can see it sitting in storage until the oldest girl is old enough to come out with m...

That's alright Les, I ended up buying the last available one from bmw Out of interest, what did you end up paying? Admittedly it's not very arty but I was worried enough about my neighbours giving me further abuse without shifting cars around the driveway, turned out alright though I have to say. I just wish I'd taking more when I had the V8 M3 (before the F10) too, I could slap myself.

As per the instructions, I'm afraid that job of removing the heater box will require removal of the whole dash. Worth blasting and painting the bar once it's out though as it's installed in its raw state.

Good luck.

You have to remove the cluster to remove the plastic lens cover thing, even then you have to replace the shroud and all. The relay for the fuel pump is one of the 3 relays under the dash on the drivers side, you might have to remove the piece of trim in front of the speaker to get to them. But I'm nearly sure theres another fuse in the fuse box, although I could be wrong.
