Re: Car insurance
I have a multi car policy with Aviva, works out a lot cheaper, but before you ask for a quote, download the aviva driving app onto your phone, it measures your driving systle for 200 miles and then gives you a score which you record and register on the aviva website, when they quote they use this sc...

Re: Radio Script Display Gone Off

Bought a new aerial rubber grommet, only £5.96 from main dealers, it was a nice 20 minute job to install, it has now stopped water getting only the alarm componants and looks really good.

Re: Changed thermostat today
Rob 56,
The only parts I had change was the thermostat and the plastic housing which had the rubber gasket already in situ and G48 anti freeze coolant, all the hoses were still in good condition etc.

Re: Changed thermostat today
Thanks Del, thats useful, after a 12 mile journey the needle stayed at 12 oclock, and when I checked the fluid level it was about an inch above the line, I will check when I get back to the car as hopefully it will have cooled down back to the line.

WOW, I cant believe my journey to work this morning, the heater is amazing for the first time since Ive had the car, and the needle pointed to 12 O`Clock on the whole journey, just need to keep an eye on the fluid level now.

Changed thermostat today
Good Evening, Today i had the thermostat changed as my 1.9 M44 was running cold, when i examined the one that was taken out, i was surprised to see it was dated 1988 and stamped BMW, so its possibly the original one, i cant believe its last 17 years, so much for the poor reputation they have. The ne...

Replace bulbs behind heater panel Z3 1.9 (1999)
Good Morning, This week I will be changing the radio on my Z3, and as the bulbs behind the heater panel are not working I thought it was the ideal time to replace them, but I have a quick question, to take out the old bulbs do you just pull them or do you have to twist them to get them to release. I...

Re: Hi all. Yet another new boy
Hi Graham, welcome to the world of Z3 ownership, I had exactly the same issues you described mine was the throttle valve potentiometer, I took it to a local indy to sort as he had several spare engines about the workshop should they need to try different parts and sensors, the change of the throttle...

Re: Insurance - result :-)
swappy I can confirm the £100 is on top of the main car which is a Merc C180K and I pay £180 for that, so £280 for a Merc C class and BMW Z3 is good value.

Re: Insurance - result :-)
As I use my Z 3 1.9 as a second car, I asked aviva my current car insurer the cost for a multi car policy, it cost £100 per year and i also get no claims bonus for the z3, and if I had an accident in the z3 it wont affect the NCB for my main vehicle, I dont think you will get it any cheaper than that

Re: Insuring your Zed
I contacted my insurance company when I bought my 1999 Z3 1.9 and they suggested I put it onto the same policy as the car I already had covered with them, so its now called a multi car Policy, the cost was £110 for 12 months to put the Z onto it. This made sense as I can only drive one of them at a ...

Which is the best half Cover
Good Morning all Z3 owners, Im looking to buy a half cover for my 1999 Z3, a search brings up loads of manufactures and prices, the Cabrio Shield looks well made, and a reasonable price, does anyone have experience of this hood or are any others worth considering Thanks in advance for your help.
