Window won't go up in one go.
After disconnecting battery to repair my seat my
drivers side window will only go up in stages the
fast up has stopped working, down is OK. Is there a sequence
on the switch to change mode or is it a fault.

Had a lot of trouble sourcing ZV5's been told Avon have stopped making them
& replaced them with ZV7's so if your after any get them fast...

Hi Well had my transmission backlash sound looked at & was told all visible connections/bearings/bushes/uj's are OK so it must be foreward of the gearbox output shaft probably meaning the flywheel/clutch, can't see it being the gearbox itself. Can live with it as it is but it may deteriorate so ...

Yes I believe the all green section on the left is live sensor input which is why it responded to you shaking the sensor around. From the INPA screen it looks like the lateral acceleration sensor has an offset outside BMW's limits. This is to measure cornering acceleration (g) and is nothing to do with going faster or slower so tilting fore and aft will not make any difference to it. I suspect that it is some kind of capacit...

There is an option in INPA that allows you to reset/calibrate the sensor, the car needs to be on a flat surface to do this. Have a look around the program near to where you were to get the readings shown above. The reset takes a few seconds to do. I was shown a way to do it using "Tool32"...

I havn't actually bought anything just wondering how difficult
it was to fit a replacement radio after removing original.
As far as i know its just a multipin plug connecting radio
but that just routes to the boot which is now disconnected.
If its too technical i can live without it.

Fitting aftermarket radio.
As i have removed the 6 cd changer which includes the amp to
get extra space in boot so as to render the original radio
not working how would i connect up an aftermarket radio
as all the connections are in the boot.
Am keeping all the original radio/fittings for when i sell car.

I found it a pain getting it through the carpet otherwise easy. It's nice to get a replacement (non CD changer) carpet to replace the one thats moulded for the changer. I got mine from " Spurs fan in a coupe" Don't forget if you're still using the original radio you wont be able to use it ...

Didn't think you could re-use a bonded in windscreen, can't see
you removing the good one without damage & then cleaning
all the adhesive off. Be suprised if you manage it or get

As soon as i got my Z3 i had back problems but since using a 10" x 8" cushion
placed at bottom back its now cured. It seams that there is a void right at
the bottom that doesn't support your back. It maybe that the cushion's sagged
with age (or maybe its me (64))
