For what it's worth, I bought a 2001 3.0i with about 125k miles. When I went register it with my state (RI), I snuck a peak at the "book" that the DMV uses to calculate the sales taxes. Book value was 12k (obviously inflated to increase tax revenues). But more important, it was the only BM...
