Further to my earlier post, I had a little time to try some things to repair the floor mat tethers that have pulled out of the carpet and no longer secure. Floor mat tethers

Hi,
The floor mat securing clips on the driver side have pulled out of the main carpet.

Originally, they screwed in but the hole in the carpet has become worn and they just pull out.

Has anybody come up with a clever repair for this?

its a permanent fault, cant clear it.

brakes work fine otherwise, I don't think its pad/disc related and there is no pedal thumping/banging that you experienced.

ABS and DSC lights on.

Ran a diag on INPA and thats the fault it comes up with.

Are you thinking it may be something else??

Thanks for the input guys. I am also a Meyle HD or Lemforder fan and agree that quality is important The ECD ones are German and was hoping lots of people were going to sing their praises and save me £70 against the Meyle HD or Lemforder Kit. Going to have to replace the rear screen over the winter, so started looking arround and found this on ebay 391307448984

The guy makes them himself from, supposedly, superior plastic.

Anybody tried one or have any recommendations ??

And the result is a fully working sound system :D

A very big thanks to Robert for the info. Maplins do the relay -JM67x - for the princely sum of £1.99 and its a doddle to fit - about half and hour all up.

Now all we need is some sunshine so I can use it !

There are two possibilities here. 1) The headunit is not connected to the remote control wire that turns on the amp or 2) the amp is not working, possibly due to a failed relay. I found this on the engine compartment under tray this morning whilst replacing the water pump (thats a different story) It looks like it belongs on the vacuum system? nothing in particular really, bit of new toy and seeing how it works.

all the info i can find refers to using the CKM option, which i think is where all the individual options are stored ??

maybe as there are no individual key options on the Z then there is no CKM ??

Progman help required.

I got this from BMW cables and INPA /DIS etc all work fine

Progman opens up in virtual machine, and connects with the car. reads all the modules and fault codes but the CKM option is 'greyed out' and cant be selected.

Am i missing something obvious ?
