Alloys For Sale!
For sale are my recently refurbished style 78 wheels. These are the 4 x 17" by 8" rims, NOT the staggered set. Nearly new Falken Ziex tyres are on and balanced and have done less than 1000 miles. Selling due to selling my Z. £400 http://i1289.photobucket.com/albums/b520/danllewsmith/Mobile...

Re: Fan going constantly
I have this as an intermittent fault with my M54... sometimes it starts and the fan is as you say "free wheeling" and sometimes loud when idling and louder and louder with revs. even if car is cold/hot it is honestly random. help?

Re: Wheel width query
Thank you so so much.
Spacer shopping I guess! Is it better to wait, see and measure as I'm a total amateur at this or guestimate? Ideally i would like the wheels to fill the arches and be more "flush"...

what are the legal guidelines on wheel protrusion? there is a bit of a gap between my current wheels and the edge of the arch... could the 45mm extra simply fill this?
and as a 8.5j fits the back my 8j should fly on

I know there aren't many on here from down the "Valleys" area, but I've just put my 78's in to be refurbished. Quoted a whopping £140! including acid dip, sand blasting, undercoat, bake and clearcoat. The company is a straight up powder coater originally and now they refurb wheels as a sid...

Re: Exhaust Question
Did it this afternoon and I am chuffed! A slightly deeper note and a nicer noise up to 3500 as now it doesn't have a rasping valve!
Are the tail pipes removable for a good clean on the stick exhaust?
Many thanks

I have recently bought a set of style 78's however all four are 8j x 17 eh2 size. My question is will these fit the front? If not, what mods (spacers) or setup (offset) needs to be changed?

Re: Exhaust Question
Thank you all very much for your help southernboy :) and I'm pretty sure the only reason its doing my head is that is nearly seized and as it changes from closed to open there's a detestable rattly raspy noise. and its right on the comfortable part of the mid range revs! it doesn't look so mint atm....

Exhaust Question
I have a stock exhaust on my 3.0 Z3, and I see no real reason to upgrade as the noise is lovely at high revs and quiet and domestic at low speed. However is there anyway to disable the valve that keeps it quiet? the valve that you can hear open between 2800 and 3300 RPM? Any help would be much appre...

Sounds like a trip up North Wales next year if Tafzee is up for it
The roads over Brecon are good but the roads up there must be great as well
