Re: Washers keep failing to work.
Hi, I too had no water at the jets, and water going somewhere. My Indy removed the sound proofing, the water was coming out of what appear to be non return valves attached to the jets, he removed these and has ordered new ones.In the meantime they work but it takes a little while for the water to come.

Re: Kickdown not working
Took the car for a test drive and all is well it has got the oomph back, but never floored it to 6000 revs. I can only presume there is a protective overheating switch in the auto box, because the coolant temp gauge was showing dead centre.

Kickdown not working
Hi I drive a2.2 automatic z3. Took the car for a drive, on the way out I gave it the beans kick down behaved really well and revved all the way to just over 6000 revs.it has two throttle response settings, one approx three quarters down the pedal movement and the other when you hit the floor. I stop...

Re: Is it safe to plug a battery conditioner in cigar socket
Thanks for your reply,
I too have a ctek and used it on my mgb for 6years and no problems. But the z3 is an auto and has loads of sensitive electrics compared to the mgb, made me feel worried about damaging something.

Re: Exhaust rasp has gone after air inlet changed.2.2i
Initially the car had poor performance, but occasionally it would fly plus a rasping exhaust.I took it to my Indy and he found cracks in the bellows of the upper air inlet boot, so he poured supaglue into the cracks ,the car was transformed.Bags of power and that lovely exhaust rasp.So he booked me i...

Re: Exhaust rasp has gone after air inlet changed.2.2i
My Indy fitted a new boot- part number 13541705209 but is not the same as the original. Yet the dealers got the part number from the chassi and the registration. Now that he has got the old boot he will take it to the dealers to get a exact match.

Exhaust rasp has gone after air inlet changed.2.2i
hi, Indy changed cracked air inlet boot(downstream Maf). He couldn't buy exact boot,so he fitted one without a bottom bellows(2inch dia)which was fitted to a box adjacent main air box, which didn't appear to do anything. But now it has lost its lovely rasp on acceleration. Is this possible or is it a c...
