My timing chain cover is also leaking oil, I was advised to have the chain water pump done at the same time saves on labour, does this sound right?

Ive just had my abs pump sent off for refurb with lifetime warranty it cost £600 and it has solved the problem for good . don't do it through BMW

Sorted it, thanks for suggestions, it turned out when I had time to look that It turned out to be a loose battery terminal on the positive side, it was sometimes making contact sometimes not, knocked it down with a piece of wood and tightened it up, been fine ever since.

I have been using it regularly as the weather has been so good but only a couple of miles in the morning and couple in the evening to the train station and back and a ride out at weekends ten to twenty miles or so, funny enough I used my headlights yesterday morning.

My C110 tells you which wheel it is, mine kept coming on periodically, turned out it was my ABS pump, expensive job, but you get a lifetime warranty with it.

I have read the manual and I know where the fog lights illuminate on the dashboard, if you read the thread properly, my vehicle has always, when pulling the knob out for the lights, illuminated a green panel on the dash to say that my lights are on, likewise the blue light for main beam illuminates ...

I have a solar charger, I lengthened the wires by soldering extra onto the original leads, connected it through the battery terminals in the boot, there is enough gap between boot and body not to trap the cables

unfortunately on my model the 1.8, the engine management light comes on as amber and says in the manual that it is the lambda sensor.
I have had this verified by having the code read at the garage and it does back up the manuals statement that the fault is with the lambda sensor

Its the 20 pin obd under the bonnet, turned out it was the lambda emmisions sensor, but was showing intermittent so he turned the fault light off and said keep using it as its been stood. If it comes on again replace it

Hello all, I have a 2000 Z3 1.8 and when I press the accelerator pedal, the firsty10mm or so are very stiff leading to a jerking action when accelerating.
Past the first 10mm or so it is perfectly smooth.
Any advice on either a simple ,quick or permanent fix.

I have purchased a set of the seatbelt guides from southernboy and I fully recommend them , they look the bees knees and are so simple to fit. It saves the job of fitting new guides , upholstery off etc and it finishes the job off nicely , looks ace !!!!
