Re: Difficulty Engaging First?
Thanks Mike I will order one and get it fitted, I had the gearbox oil changed but it didn't resolve the issue. Its not a biggie but a bit irratating. Another forum suggested: "Per BMW: Engine running, clutch all the way down. Try to put it into 1st. While keeping pressure applied to the shifter...

Difficulty Engaging First?
Just bought a 1999 2.8 and find it 'difficult' to engage first gear, very notchy. Workaround is to engage second then shift into first. What is this indicative of?...totally new clutch or something not so financially drastic? (presume a new clutch supplied and fitted would be a £1K?).... Also the pr...

I tried playing once and it was a disaster.BladeRunner919 wrote:Perhaps we should organise a snooker tournament!
OK so both Oxford Green, I guess the ambient light makes a difference to the hue and I know there was an Oxford Green 2 just to complicate matters.
But that ad! 76K and £22.5K?...wow!

Are these two the same colour? (I'm colorblind with red/green/brown!) Totally love the one in the historical setting but is it the same as the Syntner one? http://www.parkwayspecialistcars.co.uk/uploads/product/zoom_BMW_Z3M_ROADSTER__HARD_TOP_28.jpg http://a1.stock-images.netdirector.co.uk/image/upl...

Re: Coilovers help!!
As a beginner, I don't understand this expensive modification.
Does it just lower the stance of the car?...can't you just use springs to do this?
Whats the deal with spending £600-£700?

Re: Z3 to Z3M console change
I think a few none M owners would like to make this modification but suspect Z3M center consoles are like hens teeth.
Is it possible to modify the existing unit at all?...or can a Z3M console be made then maybe leather covered etc?...

Which 2.8?
Hi am looking to buy a 2.8 pre-facelift as I love the M type widebody.
Am I correct in thinking some engines have a single vanos and some double?...does it make any difference which one you get as to tuning possibilities to get it up on a par with the 3.0?....or are they both equal?...
Thanks
