It needs to release the chemicals in the paint. The time is irrelevant. Some solvents can release weeks later. The paint in all layers needs to be dry or it can fry. Try putting on thin coats, you should only need a light coat of colour then one more to cover and the metalic stand up. A light coat o...

Hi,
You have to cut out the entire rear panel that holds the rear lights in place as the pattern for where your lights bolt on and the bulbs go through are different.
I have a panel new in the box.

I have had to take a Yuasa battery back to Halfords 4, yes 4 times during the 5 year warranty. Now they are saying they won’t replace it again and I correctly informed them that they don’t have a choice! The only ones I have are 36mm. Put the hand brake on, take the wheel off, get a long bar and put it between two of the studs and lock it out on the floor or built up wood choks. Get your breaker bar with your 36mm socket, slide a scaffold pole over the breaker bar handle and undo the nut. Then take ...

If you get a bicycle gear or old style brake cable that has a bullet end on it and poke it down the tube , that works or a plastic flexi rod. That’s what I use as it’s less abrasive. Also works for the roof drains.

I mean BMW Germany have both RHD and LHD.
You can order which you want from any BMW dealer.
There is a myth that Z3M mirrors are no longer made by BMW. This is simply untrue. I repeatedly see them up for £500 a pair in used condition.
Just pick up the phone and order them new.
I hope this helps you.

No, You can't do it with a socket from below the car if the ball joint is spinning . I use a ring spanner in 1/8th turns, ish as it is very confined and an Allen key/tool in the top. Have you tried applying pressure to the bottom of the ball joint to stop the ball joint spinning? This negates the nee...

You can’t just drop the engine support bar off as the engine mounts sit on it. You need to undo them while the engine is supported. It is way easier to pull the front bumper and arch liner off. Obviously the front wheel needs to come off too. Drop the front two bolts from the protection cover and th...
