Re: Engine Light and strange idle.

Just had a look around the bay. Seems like the air intake boot after the MAF is perished. See image: 20170408_105942o.jpg I think that this is the part on realoem: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/part?id=CN12-EUR-04-2002-Z3-BMW-Z3_22i&mg=13&sg=15&diagId=13_1747&q=13541705209 But the ...

Re: Engine Light and strange idle.

Thanks for the advice. I will give it a check over in the morning and see if I can find anything wrong with the lines.

Re: Engine Light and strange idle.

The car had a full inspection 2 service at 817400. Now on just over 85k. Not sure if inspection 2 includes spark plugs?

I bought the car at just under 84k. It has done about 5k in the last 5 years.

So maybe a full service with spark plugs would be a good idea.

Engine Light and strange idle.

I have a 2002 2.2i M54B22 Z3 with around 85k on the clock. Recently when starting the car the idle has been slightly strange sometimes at a higher rpm than usual and sometimes fine. It sometimes feels like the idle is rough with the car shaking up and down with the engine. The engine light comes on ...

Rear suspension camber

Hi all, I recently fitted lowering springs to my Z to the tune of 35mm. The drop seems a little more and the rear wheels are negatively cambered due to the trailing arm dropping. Is there any way to adjust this camber with stock components or are there any aftermarket products to adjust this and get...

Re: Intake questions

Ahhh okay. So is that set-up (basically what I suggested in my second option) what the Z3M comes with stock? At the moment the airbox is fed via item number 1 on the second diagram you posted. Which sits behind and around the headlight. Thanks for the helpful explanation! At some point I will wrangl...

Re: Intake questions

Thanks for the tip. I have found realoem to be really useful. Don't worry I don't make a habit for driving underwater! So on realoem I found this page: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=CL93-USA-01-2002-Z3-BMW-Z3_M&diagId=13_0934 This is quoted as being the Z3M model but this is exact...

Re: Intake questions

Apologies if I worded the original post badly, but no, I am not confusing or confused by the difference between the air pressure and the velocity. In both these situations I would be keeping the original airbox, not replacing it with a direct scoop into the intake. These solutions are to try and pro...

Intake questions

Hi all, I have been reading the fogged air box better intake posts and have since toyed with two ideas. I was wondering whether or not either have been done before and general thoughts. Current Problem The current intake of my 2002 2.2 is to the left of the front left headlight and around it. When t...

I have one I'm not going to use. I'm not sure what the value would be? I'm down in Surrey.
