Z3ddie - how did you stop the silicone blocking the narrow drain holes or the a pillar?
Peter2b - where did you put the puncture patch? You mean you can see it still with the roof closed?

Window / roof leak - window adjustment
Lots of posts on this already, I know, I have the fairly common issue of drips from the rubber roof seal at the top of the window, dripping on to the seats. Much much worse on the drivers side but also a small bit on passenger side. I've cleaned the drains holes on the 'plug' at the top of the A-pil...

I wouldn't leave home without it
... what is 'it' for you? There's the stock toolkit and warning triangle but what else do you always take with you on a Z3 drive? For me the C110 error scanner is one thing as you can get a decent amount of data out of that, could help decide whether to limp home if something went wrong or call for ...

Re: London mechanics / garages
Thanks, all. I had the chap I mentioned before do it in the end - main work was replacing the front shocks. I'm pretty OK with the DIY but don't have spring compressors or a ramp / axle stands so I think would've been a bit too tricky. Labour on these was £50 per side which I think is pretty reasona...

Anyone recommend a trustworthy place for various BMW / Z3 work in or around London - preferably Central / East? Re: EEP2 error, speedo over read & ECU warning light
Only other nugget of information gleaned is the live readouts. These look OK as a photo but actually on the first screen the circuit 1 sensor would jump around a bit from -0.27 to +0.36 and the yaw rate would also flicker around a bit. On the second screen the voltage would flicker, dropping from 9....

Intermittent DSC light error still evading me. I have INPA up and running now but don't think it is telling me anything more useful than the C110. My build date was late 2001 so could be in the same place as above? EDIT: ps if you do find it missing or disconnected I'd suggest finding out why a previous owner did that before you plug it back in, otherwise you might find you get noisy false alarms etc and the siren has a backup battery inside s...

Re: EEP2 error, speedo over read & ECU warning light
Yeah I agree it seems a bit far fetched and more likely a coincidence and intermittent fault than the problem actually being solved. But on the flip side these are all things that should be done anyway so no harm in doing them first. I really don't want to have to get the DSC module refurbished as t...
