Know what you mean about ugly. It looks like an insect. Furthermore you're sitting too low behind the doors…… only your head and neck come above the door. It's the reason i didn't go for a Audi TT, it just doesn't look right.
And then there's the price……….

My 2000 1.9 cost me (including hard top, wind deflector and tonneau cover) the market-conform price of €9000. 90.000 miles (145.000 kilometers) on the clock and pristine condition. Due to our local "Postman Pat" there's a tiny dent on the boot lid from his bike :evil: You can pick up a Z3 ...

Yes. They were under the car when i bought it two years ago, and they do what it says on the box. They are marginally beter than wooden wheels and the fact that Hankook sponsers Real Madrid won't help you as you careen off the road towards a 300 year old oak. 20mph = 32kph
30mph = 48kph
40mph = 64kph

Why would a KPH speedometer be a big deal for the MOT? It's hardly a safety issue. Plus, if you get the numbers mixed up you'd be going slower. An MPH speedo would be a bigger problem on the continent.
I know for a fact that here in the Netherlands a MPH speedo is not a fail on an imported car.

It's obviously a second hand roof, but the little bits and bobs like the spacers are usually the first things to "disappear".
I just wanted to cover my bases in case they aren't available.
BTW, i'm talking about the little plastic shim things, not the bracket the top secures to.

The only spacers needed are the "mounting gauges" that set the height at the back of the hardtop. Part number 54 21 9 408 881, 6.2 mm thick and pre-formed for the bodywork. You go for a gap between the spacers and the roof of 0.2 mm. The only problem with the oem spacers is that once you'v...

I bought my Z3 without a hardtop and mounting lugs, but i'm in the market for one now ( i'm in Holland, so don't tell me you know of one in, say, West Bromwich).
I'm just wondering how easy or hard it is to fit one from scratch. Any ideas or experiences are welcome
