Most of the problem here would appear to be down to poor communication, driven by the message in the middle of the front page. To stop this happening again I would suggest that if someone (a Moderator?) has a good contact for the Webmaster, they ask him to change the front page from contacting the W...

I'm not entirely sure, but I think all frames have the point that the piston connects to, so I would of thought it would work.
Look at your current roof, look at where the piston connects then check the donor roof has the same. Hopefully it'll be Good Times!

...the old shocks were pretty much knackered. There was no pressure in the rears at all. Thats interesting Deano, just wondering if can you elaborate? What sort of/how much pressure is to be expected? What would be 'No pressure'? ie easily compressed by hand. Do shocks return to a neutral position ...

I recently changed mine which cured the rattle I could hear with the roof up. Can't say if it went away with the roof down, but I didn't seem to notice it..! I got mine from a Dealer, can't remember how much (I think £17ish pound each?), but not dear and they are easy to fit using the guides in the ...

Zip Window

I think it was a feature of the early MX-5 that window needed to be un zipped, but it's not that case for the Z3; as Robert says, there is no way to undo the Zip day to day.
First I've heard of problems with the frame too, but could be worth checking.

Rear Shock Top Mounts

Replaced my Rear Shock Top Mounts at the weekend and it has completely eliminated the rattle that had developed at the rear (especially noticeable with the roof up). 8-) Thanks to JontyP for the Guide in the Knowledgebase. Using the guide, but without removing the shock completely, it took around 30...

I think you'll find that it is mandatory on tracks, but the 'Ring is technically a road, not a track, therefore no requirement for a helmet.

The site says it values cars up to 8 years old. I suspect that although you have put in 1998, it is valuing it as a newer car ie 2001 (S54 ///M).

That could account for what appears to be a high valuation.
