There is NOTHING wrong with a generic map at all, the fact is that nearly all maps are started using a generic map, So why bother altering it then? Because data from a rolling road will give the mapper more information and that will help them to improve that map for the car and other cars using tha...

They did 6 runs and then gave up on the fact they thought it'd be enough? Hell when mapping my MX-5 turbo we did 54 runs in 4 hours. And that was pushing 15psi of boost through an other wise standard engine! There would of been no need to do more dyno runs, the car will always adapts to the dyno so...

Same thing has happened to mine, the drivers window. I can move it up and down without the motor running, there are 3 weld points, they need drilling out and re-welding, which you can do the drilling out with a dremel, then take it to someone who can spot weld with the door cards off shouldnt cost y...

Might be worth a clean of the MAF before replacing it BEN - could be just contaminated with gunk. Dont that already made no difference. Will try, all i was told is that the sensor on the steering rack wasnt connected. I don't htink it will be on the rack as I'm sure it's the same as the S50 models ...

right, fault codes have been read the MAF is duff! and the throttle potentiometer, and potentiometer signal sender.

The DSC is not working because of a faulty sensor on the steering rack, which also lead to another 4 fault codes with the DSC.

question to SpunkyM i have been reading your S54 idle issue threads on here and on the m3 forum i think, have you managed to sort them out yet? if so what was the problem, im going to clean the ICV in a bit to see if that helps, but im also having fueling problems the car used to get to about 6k RPM...

they have sent out two one to someone on the z3mcoupe forum, and calbens on here. They have now said that the others will be sent out on monday next week.
